FAQ

When should I use Cofo Collagen MCT Mix?

Substitute Cofo Collagen MCT Mix for your breakfast to get an extra energy boost for the day, use for an added mid-day pick me-up or as a pre-workout and outdoor adventure energy source.

What should I add the mix in?
Add Cofo in your favorite daily coffee, smoothie, cereal, water, workout drink, soup, salad dressing, chia pudding, hot cereal, and we've even heard of a customer who sprinkles it onto their steak. Here's your chance to get creative!

Is there any sweetener in Cofo?
There are no sweeteners of any type. No: sugar, coconut sugar, honey, agave, stevia, fructose, dextrose, maltose, galactose, date sugar, maple syrup, etc.

Where does our collagen come from?
Most collagen comes from beef. While the packaging may say “grass-fed”, much of the beef used for collagen is imported from South America, which implies critical and mass deforestation. Our collagen comes from 100% wild-caught Alaskan pollock and is processed in a Marine Stewardship Council approved facility (MSC is an independent non-profit organization that sets standards for sustainable fishing). Our collagen is hydrolyzed, which means it is odorless, flavorless, and completely dissolves in liquid.

Does Cofo MCT Oil Powder contain palm oil?
No. Our MCT is 100 percent sourced from coconuts. There is no palm oil in Cofo Provisions. Some brands of MCT oil contain palm oil, which is less expensive than MCT oil derived from pure coconut oil. Much of palm oil production is responsible deforestation that results in wildlife habitat loss (including the threatened orangutan) and human rights violations. As a company, to the best of our knowledge, we say no to habitat destruction, child labor, and modern slavery.

Can I cook with MCT?
Our MCT is derived from coconut oil which has a smoke point of 177°C or 350°F. We do not recommend frying or cooking with our product at or above these temperatures.

What is the shelf life of Cofo Provisions products?
All Cofo Provisions will expire in 18 months from the time it was made. Each product contains an expiration date and lot number for your reference. When Cofo Provisions is stored in a cool, dark area away from moisture, an unopened bag will last until the expiration date. Although not required, we like to store our Cofo in the refrigerator to keep the MCT oil powder at its freshest.

Does your product contain any Wheat/Gluten/Soy/Dairy/Nuts/Fish?
Our Collagen MCT Mixes contain coconuts (the MCT is derived from coconut oil and fish (our collagen is derived from 100% wild-caught Alaska pollock). All products are free of wheat, gluten, soy and dairy.
